Well done hotel, with nice rooms, excellent service, and awesome location
Some staff were rude and short. Housekeeping did not come one day to clean room but said they did. Mixup with hotel description.
We really liked the location of Ocean Park Inn because it was right on the Boardwalk. Their breakfasts were also very good; great service too.
The balcony and watching, listening and the smell of the Ocean
The room heater did not work. My receipt shows the rom cost me $235.15, yet my credit card states I owe $450.00 I am disputing this charge
We got an Ocean Front room instead of the booked Standard King room.
The location: first the beache and ocean at your feet and second bike hire and excellent restaurants next door.
The breakfast area and set-up needs improvement; these are relatively poor compared to comparable inns.
The bed and pillows were great - + the ocean view
Staff is always helpful. The location is excellent. New fish tank is cool. Breakfast was just what we needed in the mornings
desk man was very pushy about checkout time and when we were running late threatend to charge us for another day.
Warm swimming pool opened until 10 pm, good position for fun but silent in front beach
Breckfast very poor
Front desk staff always had a pleasant smile and a seemingly sincere "Hello" every time I walked in. Made me feel like they were truly happy to greet me and that they enjoyed being there.
No guest access to a computer and printer. I needed to check-in for my flight and print a boarding pass.
The location was the primary reason we chose Ocean Park Inn. We had a room on the ocean view side. We sat on the balcony every afternoon and watched people on the boardwalk as well as the ocean. We saw dolphins, sting rays, and lots of cool ocean birds. Our 12 year old body surfed for hours and we could see her from the balcony of our room. Being able to get to the beach in a matter of steps was the most important variable in our lodging. Pacific Beach had to best beach front, in our opinion and the Ocean Park Inn was located on a corner of a street that dead ended right into a primary lifeguard station on the beach. It was perfect for us. The Inn itself had very attractive architecture as well and the staff were very friendly and accommodating when it came to recommending restaurants and giving us driving directions to various attractions around San Diego.
Location is great, right by the beach and the restaurants.
The hotel itself was great, a little dated in the room but it was fine. With this being a popular location there are 3 bars (with rooftop decks) directly surrounding the hotel. You do hear noise from the bars, but we drowned it out with the a/c / heater fan going.
My boyfriend and I just had two days to play, loved the location! Was really surprized at how nice it was. Super friendly staff, big thank you to Sacheen and Pat at the front desk! They went above and beyond to make our stay great. We had fun in the jacuzzi and pool, walked rght across the lobby to The Firehouse Resturant and had a great meal and awesome service!Hope to go back again real soon.
Was hoping to use jacuzzi in the morn, but it was being drained and cleaned. No big deal though.
The staff was incredibly accommodating they made sure we had everything we needed and were more then willing to help us when we needed it. They had extras such as buckets and shovels, for the kids to use at the beach. The rooms were clean and the grounds were safe.
Even though it was a noisy area, inside the noise was blocked. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
